You guys, I wish I could share every single photo I took for this book. Yes my friends my dream came true: doing all photography for a cookbook! All on film obviously. I am super honored I got asked by SNOR and Holy Kauw for this book all about Lemonades. We had so much fun creating this -on the darkest, shortest days of the year in January mind you!
In the middle of 2017 I went to Portugal together with Sofie van den Enk to document her experiences in a beautiful small retreat for another piece in Yoga Magazine. We had so much fun sharing a room, walking to the beach and just doing nothing at all. And of course Sofie did amazing yoga sessions every day. What a blessing to call this work right? The newest issue of Yoga Magazine is now in stores, be sure to check it out and read the story about how Sofie find ways to fight her depression and how she experienced being on this corner of Europe for a whole week. Some of favorite outtakes below:
So much fun photographing Nicole Buch and her home for Wendy Magazine! I love taking portraits of people who are full of life and full of stories about their life, Nicole told me so much about her home and herself. And those curls ahhh! Hair & make-up by Marjolijn Muis. Thanks guys! For more photos check the latest Wendy Magazine :)
Oh I went to the top of a mountain in Italy and came back with a suitcase full of photos alright. It was a pleasure to work for Yoga Magazine and meet and shoot Jessica Durlacher. This retreat sure is a magical place. See some of my personal favorites below. Yoga Magazine #3 is now available in (Dutch) stores!
In the sweetest mail Lot asked me to do all photography for her new poem-book 'Wezens'. I love how my photography matches me with likeminded people. She gave me complete freedom to do whatever I wanted and while reading her poems I came up with this somewhat mysterious series. Portraits without a face. The final result is a beautiful booklet on matte paper with 50 poems from Lot together with some of my photos (I wish I could share all photos we took but it would just be too much hihi). Seeing my photography in print is just the best ahh! As always, my film was developed & scanned by Carmencita Film Lab.
