What I love most about having my business for 4 years compared to just starting is the fact that I get to photograph the same clients multiple times now. Like Michel and Rianne who I photograph every year with their girl Elin. This time they invited me for an afternoon camping with them, whoohoo! Being able to truly capture a family growing together into life is so special. Sometimes I think about Elin being a young adult and watching these photos with a heart almost exploding, seeing herself and her parents like this. That -for me- is the core of documenting families.

Some of the portraits I took for Avenue Lifestyle who is now owned by not only Holly Marder but also Hedda Pier. I am so excited for these ladies to merge into 1 rock solid business. Taking (business) portraits is a field of photography I enjoy very much. This location Spaces in The Hague is a dream! Check out the full story here.     In need of (new) portraits for your business? I would love to think along and create something beautiful for you, contact me to get started!

In the sweetest mail Lot asked me to do all photography for her new poem-book 'Wezens'. I love how my photography matches me with likeminded people. She gave me complete freedom to do whatever I wanted and while reading her poems I came up with this somewhat mysterious series. Portraits without a face. The final result is a beautiful booklet on matte paper with 50 poems from Lot together with some of my photos (I wish I could share all photos we took but it would just be too much hihi). Seeing my photography in print is just the best ahh! As always, my film was developed & scanned by Carmencita Film Lab.

Some of the many photos I took for the new lookbook for The Sassy Girl. I love how I had complete freedom to come up with the idea and location (thanks Neptunus!) for this lookbook. It has been a super fun morning shooting with these amazing girls. Check out The Sassy Girl for a good dose of girlpower and shop the coolest pins of the block! Model beauty: Cathelijne Blok.

All the smiles a kid brings. It was so much fun to spend a quiet Wednesday morning with Michiel, Lotte and Loek. The soft sun, the cold ground, some deer passing us by. Just perfect! And proof that shoots don't have to take place in spring or summer: winter is so so beautiful!     Curious to see how I would document you and your family? Head over here for all the details.

Family is everything. I love to see Jan and Melissa together with their boy and see them grow into this family life. They are doing such a good job! Thanks so much guys for the great afternoon & evening in Belgium!   Curious to see how I would document you and your family? Head over here for all the details.

Welcome to geek club hihi! After 10 hours riding trains I arrived in Dresden (Germany) and explored this beautiful city. With a group of 5 we met up, talked, ate and slept before heading to the middle of nowhere without any phone reception. In a big and cold house with 11 film shooters this sure was a trip to remember. We danced in the middle of the night under the starry sky with a phone in a plastic cup as a speaker while drinking glühwein. We visited the bastei and enjoyed the sunset. We sang songs together in the van while dodging frogs. We talked for hours and shot a lot of film (of course). I'm so glad Katja and me made it happen to get this group of film shooters from all over Europe together for some well deserve quality time. Saw some old friends and made new ones. This isn't the end, The Film Musketeers are born :).

I had an amazing day with Herman and Sietske who were so open and welcoming. I fell in love with their camper van and their gorgeous villa (which they will leave when they start a new roadtrip with their camper next year) and most of all with the way they look at life. I am not so good with words but I hope the photos do all the talking for me. You can follow their adventures on Instagram. Until we meet again guys, this was too much fun for just 1 shoot :).
