Jessica Durlacher | Yoga Magazine
Oh I went to the top of a mountain in Italy and came back with a suitcase full of photos alright. It was a pleasure to work for Yoga Magazine and meet and shoot Jessica Durlacher. This retreat sure is a magical place. See some of my personal favorites below. Yoga Magazine #3 is now available in (Dutch) stores!
on a boat
Some of my favorite shots from when dear friends Anne & Danique took me on a surprise birthday trip. This was some fun girls, thank you a million times -x-.
Avenue Design Studio
Some of the portraits I took for Avenue Lifestyle who is now owned by not only Holly Marder but also Hedda Pier. I am so excited for these ladies to merge into 1 rock solid business. Taking (business) portraits is a field of photography I enjoy very much. This location Spaces in The Hague is a dream! Check out the full story here. In need of (new) portraits for your business? I would love to think along and create something beautiful for you, contact me to get started!
Lot Bouwes | Poetry book
In the sweetest mail Lot asked me to do all photography for her new poem-book 'Wezens'. I love how my photography matches me with likeminded people. She gave me complete freedom to do whatever I wanted and while reading her poems I came up with this somewhat mysterious series. Portraits without a face. The final result is a beautiful booklet on matte paper with 50 poems from Lot together with some of my photos (I wish I could share all photos we took but it would just be too much hihi). Seeing my photography in print is just the best ahh! As always, my film was developed & scanned by Carmencita Film Lab.
The Sassy Girl
Some of the many photos I took for the new lookbook for The Sassy Girl. I love how I had complete freedom to come up with the idea and location (thanks Neptunus!) for this lookbook. It has been a super fun morning shooting with these amazing girls. Check out The Sassy Girl for a good dose of girlpower and shop the coolest pins of the block! Model beauty: Cathelijne Blok.
The Film Musketeers
Welcome to geek club hihi! After 10 hours riding trains I arrived in Dresden (Germany) and explored this beautiful city. With a group of 5 we met up, talked, ate and slept before heading to the middle of nowhere without any phone reception. In a big and cold house with 11 film shooters this sure was a trip to remember. We danced in the middle of the night under the starry sky with a phone in a plastic cup as a speaker while drinking glühwein. We visited the bastei and enjoyed the sunset. We sang songs together in the van while dodging frogs. We talked for hours and shot a lot of film (of course). I'm so glad Katja and me made it happen to get this group of film shooters from all over Europe together for some well deserve quality time. Saw some old friends and made new ones. This isn't the end, The Film Musketeers are born :).
Travel Many Roads
I had an amazing day with Herman and Sietske who were so open and welcoming. I fell in love with their camper van and their gorgeous villa (which they will leave when they start a new roadtrip with their camper next year) and most of all with the way they look at life. I am not so good with words but I hope the photos do all the talking for me. You can follow their adventures on Instagram. Until we meet again guys, this was too much fun for just 1 shoot :).
Cyprus
This blogpost is the perfect reflection of exactly what we did on Cyprus: swimming, snorkling, drinking cocktails, swimming again, jumping off a boat with strangers, walking the coastline around Paphos, swimming some more. Basicly we swam all day for 7 days. Oh and we did a roadtrip to the Troodos Mountains which was also pretty cool (driving on the left side is kinda scary, I admit it). We didn't really know what to expect from Cyprus and we probably could have seen much more but we enjoyed it to pieces and had such a lovely time together. If you'd like to frame a piece of summer on your wall, head over here.
